Tuition and Financing at Waimea Country School
Annual tuition for the 2008-2009 Academic Year is $7,700.
We are committed to making Waimea Country School affordable for every child who wants to attend, regardless of financial circumstance. To meet this challenge, we work hard to contain costs, and we actively seek revenue from non-tuition sources. Even so, the cost of a Waimea Country School education is a challenge for some families, so we offer financial aid on the basis of demonstrated need for those who qualify.
Student Financial Aid Program
In the 2007/2008 school year, approximately 35% of our students received financial aid, and for many families, applying for aid is just another step in the process of applying for school. Our Student Financial Aid Program is designed to bridge the gap between what a family can afford and what it actually costs to attend Waimea Country School. We are committed to enrolling a student body that reflects the social and economic diversity of families living and working in the North Hawai‘i region, and we believe that the cost of a Waimea Country School education should not be a deterrent to prospective families. Look for a step-by-step explanation of how to apply for financial aid elsewhere in this packet.
IMPORTANT: Timely Submission of Financial
Aid Documents
The application deadline for new students applying for financial aid for the 2008/2009 school year is February 15, 2008. Applications are available from the School, or may be downloaded from https://sss.ets.org/ and are to be sent directly to the address provided in the financial aid application. Please notify the School if you are submitting an application for financial aid. Notification regarding the grant of financial aid to new students will be mailed on or about April 4, 2008. Financial aid availability is not guaranteed for otherwise qualified new applicants who submit financial aid applications after February 15, 2008. Applications for financial aid for returning students are due on February 1, 2008, and families of returning students should contact the school’s business office for further information.
Admission decisions are “need blind,” and students are never accepted or denied admission because of financial factors. Please call the Business Office at 885.0067 for application forms and more information. We’re glad to help in this important process.
