Tuition and Financing at Waimea Country School

Annual tuition for the 2011/2012 Academic Year is $8,600.

Tuition for the 2012/2013 Academic Year will be set by the Waimea Country School Board of Trustees in Janaury 2012.

We are committed to making Waimea Country School affordable for every child who wants to attend, regardless of financial circumstance. To meet this challenge, we work hard to contain costs, and we actively seek revenue from non-tuition sources. Even so, the cost of a Waimea Country School education is a challenge for some families, so we offer financial aid on the basis of demonstrated need for those who qualify.

Student Financial Aid Program

In the 2011/2012 school year, approximately 50% of our students received financial aid, and for many families, applying for aid is just another step in the process of applying for school. Our Student Financial Aid Program is designed to bridge the gap between what a family can afford and what it actually costs to attend Waimea Country School. We are committed to enrolling a student body that reflects the social and economic diversity of families living and working in the North Hawai‘i region, and we believe that the cost of a Waimea Country School education should not be a deterrent to prospective families.

IMPORTANT: Timely Submission of Financial Aid Documents

Financial Aid Application Deadlines:

March 9, 2011
For new Grade 1-6 students applying for financial aid for the 2012/2013 school year

Contact the School for a financial aid application packet. A component of the application is the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) filed with the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). The PFS must be completed online at https://www8.student-1.com/SSS/. Notification regarding the grant of financial aid to new students will be mailed on or about April 1, 2012. Financial aid availability is not guaranteed for otherwise qualified new applicants who submit financial aid applications after the deadlines. Families of returning students should contact the school’s business office for further information regarding financial aid applications.

Admission decisions are “need blind,” and students are never accepted or denied admission because of financial factors. Please call the Office at 808.885.0067 for application forms and more information. We’re glad to help in this important process.
